The IWA World Water Congress & Exhibition is an agenda-setting meeting of water professionals, both water industry insiders and thought leaders from outside the sector, that addresses global water challenges. Keynote speakers are the top specialists in their field, they will frame the critical debates facing the water sector; workshops, technical sessions and business forums will showcase the latest science and best practices delivering solutions to the water crisis.
Tokyo Report: 2018 IWA World Water Congress & Exhibition
Under the theme “Resilience and sustainability – From science to practice and policy” the 2018 IWA World Water Congress & Exhibition gathered nearly 10,000 water professionals from utilities, academia, private companies, governments, and global organisations in Tokyo, Japan.
From 16 to 21 September 2018, as part of the largest ever IWA Congress and Exhibition, these leaders discussed and presented innovative solutions to global challenges that would bring transformative change to the most vital resource on earth: water.
Media accreditation is open, please apply in advance by completing and emailing the downloadable application form with a scan of your press pass or letter from your editor. All registered media will receive a letter of confirmation.
Media passes for the Congress and Exhibition will be available for collection at the registration desk.
When collecting your media pass for the conference you will be required to present the following supporting documents:
- The letter of confirmation issued by the conference organisers;
- An official national press card; OR
- Photo ID and an official letter signed by their publisher, editor or news director stating your role at the IWA World Water Congress & Exhibition;
Unsigned letters will not be accepted. Freelance media are required to provide an indication of the news organisation or publication engaging their services.
Applicants who submitted their applications for media accreditation prior to the deadline will be notified on their application status within ten working days of submission.
On-site registrants should bring both a letter of assignment and a valid press card to the Congress onsite registration desk.
