George is CIO of Sydney Water, Australia’s largest water utility. He has over 20 years of global utilities experience with a strong focus on using information and digital enablement for enhanced customer experience and operational excellence. Prior to joining Sydney Water he helped many water utilities around the world including Thames Water, Wessex Water and Severn Trent Water in the UK, Greater Cincinnati Water, Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, and Washington DC Water in the US, plus a number of the major water utilities in the Middle East and Australia.
In Sydney Water he is leading the charge to become a “Digitally Connected Utility” by 2020 – enabling real customer centricity, empowering and protecting staff to perform their roles safely, creating predictability in asset performance and enabling real-time situational intelligence in operations.
